How to build Angkor Wat - Cambodia - Angkor Wat Documentary (cambodia beautiful nature)

Angkor Wat (Khmer: អង្គរវត្ត) was first a Hindu, then subsequently a Buddhist, temple complex in Cambodia and the largest religious monument in the world. The temple was built by the Khmer King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century in Yaśodharapura (Khmer: យសោធរបុរៈ, present-day Angkor), the capital of the Khmer Empire, as his state temple and eventual mausoleum. Breaking from the Shaiva tradition of previous kings, Angkor Wat was instead dedicated to Vishnu. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious center since its foundation. The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture, which received major influence from Kalinga architecture.[1] It has become a symbol of Cambodia,[2] appearing on its national flag, and it is the country's prime attraction for visitors.

Angkor Wat combines two basic plans of Khmer temple architecture: the temple-mountain and the later galleried temple, based on early Dravidian architecture, with key features such as the Jagati. It is designed to represent Mount Meru, home of the devas in Hindu mythology: within a moat and an outer wall 3.6 kilometres (2.2 mi) long are three rectangular galleries, each raised above the next. At the centre of the temple stands a quincunx of towers. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Angkor Wat is oriented to the west; scholars are divided as to the significance of this. The temple is admired for the grandeur and harmony of the architecture, its extensive bas-reliefs, and for the numerous devatas adorning its walls.

The modern name, Angkor Wat, means "Temple City" or "City of Temples" in Khmer; Angkor, meaning "city" or "capital city", is a vernacular form of the word nokor (នគរ), which comes from the Sanskrit word nagara (नगर).[3] Wat is the Khmer word for "temple grounds" (Sanskrit: वाट vāṭa ""enclosure").[4] Prior to this time the temple was known as Preah Pisnulok (Vara Vishnuloka in Sanskrit), after the posthumous title of its founder.

South Africans have indian Influence but they are just negroid with Indian culture...Cambodians,Laos,Thais are just Mongoloid with indian culture and Chinese have Indian Culture which is buddhism. Andman island in India are Negroids they are native.Northeast India are Mongoloids but they are Immigrants.NorthEast India is invaded by Mongoloid Immigrants. Indians and other Desi ethnicities like Arabs and Pakistan was in Cambodia first before these mongoloid chinks came and took over and steal our religion..

I don't think there was ever a widespread use of Indo-european languages in Cambodia. I'm pretty sure the Khmers were there first before the Indians. Otherwise, why would the Indians suddenly change from speaking an Indo-european language to an Austroasiatic language?

The Khmer Empire first city alone known as Mahendraparvata was about 100 sq kilometers in size and 10 times bigger than the city of Rome lol. Unlike Rome which was built on flat land, the city of Mahendraparvata was built on top of the Mountain consist of uneven terrain such as valleys. cliffs, rivers, waterfalls, thick jungle, etc. The Khmers manage to build a massive Pyramid that rivals the Pyramid of Khufu in size on top of the Mountain. Still, this is just a small fraction of the overall achievements of the Khmer Empire.

+debendra gurung Please don't mind these Indian, Thai, and Malay Trolls. They don't have a clue about what they are saying. If you are interested in learning more about the next Ground-Breaking discovery of the Khmer Empire using Lidar technology you can go to AngkorLidar.org.

Have any one thought of rebuilding it closest to what it looked like years ago and to start using it again for harmless festavals and even to inhabit them again with all care of preserving it for long as time last? Look at it, ancient buildings left has a good reason it was build there in the first place. All or most are left for us to take to a new hight within our own capabilities. So instead of launching wars and destruction, build new age stuff thats friendly safe and theft proof. Instead of using ancient wonders as a "look but do not touch" money draining program, let people willing to respect and preserve it use it again. Like those not touched by natural desasters. Instead of building new locations away from flooded or close to destroyed ancient cities, rebuild those wonders with improving it like having a peaceful caring crime free city under water or even isolated high on the top of mountains. With enough echo frienly shops to shop in and houses to live in, and 1 central shop for all food/tech/games and more; not louds of shops selling the same stuff. Lets keep the places left for people alive, instead of robbing nature from new lands or taking owned farms for more ground to leave or ravage from natural beauty
